Bill Belichick has had Drew Rosenhaus on speed dial this offseason, it appears.
The New England Patriots are signing free-agent safety Adrian Colbert, according to Rosenhaus, who's one of the most prominent NFL agents.
Colbert has played for a pair of former Patriots assistants over the last two seasons in Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores (2019) and New York Giants head coach Joe Judge (2020). He spent the previous two seasons with the 49ers after San Francisco selected him in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

The 27-year-old Colbert has appeared in 33 games over four NFL seasons and hasn't played more than seven games in a season since his rookie year. With Devin McCourty, Kyle Dugger and Adrian Phillips leading the depth chart, Colbert could see time on special teams if he can't crack the safety rotation.
Colbert joins several other Rosenhaus clients in New England, as Belichick's team has now acquired seven players represented by Rosenhaus this offseason. That list includes tight end Jonnu Smith, defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, offensive tackle Trent Brown and cornerback Jalen Mills.
