Pats get great news at Friday practice ahead of Raiders showdown

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Patriots got some excellent news on Friday afternoon. Particularly when it comes to their offense. And good news on that side of the ball has been hard to come by of late.

Both Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) and Jakobi Meyers (concussion) returned to practice during New England's last on-the-field session prior to their game with the Raiders.

Both players missed Thursday's practice. Stevenson did not practice Wednesday, while Meyers was listed as a limited participant.

Both are critical to the overall offensive picture for the Patriots. Combined, they've accounted for almost 40 percent of the team's yardage (1,729 of 4,378 yards, 39.5 percent).

Against a Raiders offense that already features one of the top receivers in the league in Davante Adams and could have both Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow back off injured reserve this week, getting Stevenson or Meyers or both back for this game could help the Patriots keep pace on the scoreboard Sunday afternoon.

Rookie corner Jack Jones also returned to practice Friday after missing the first two workouts of the week with a knee injury he suffered on Monday night against the Cardinals.

We'll see official status updates on all three players later today when the team's regularly-scheduled injury report is released.
