The Patriots did not have any of the players they waived get claimed by other teams. As a result, those players are now eligible to go on New England's practice squad.
Perry is a versatile player. He played quarterback in college at Navy but mostly saw time at running back and wide receiver as a rookie for the Dolphins last season.
The 24-year-old tallied nine receptions for 92 receiving yards and a touchdown, in addition to three carries for five rushing yards over nine games with Miami in 2020.
