The Houston Texans' search for a new general manager is ongoing, and one of the candidates is New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported an update on Caserio's candidacy Tuesday evening:

The Texans fired head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien in October. Caserio worked with Texans exec Jack Easterby for six years when both of them were part of the Patriots front office. Easterby left the Patriots to join the Texans in 2019.
Houston announced Tuesday it interviewed Seattle Seahawks vice president of player personnel Trent Kirchner for its general manager position. The team also interviewed Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady for its open head coach job.

The Texans aren't the only team interested in Caserio. The Panthers also requested permission to interview Caserio for their vacant general manager job, and on Tuesday, Carolina announced it has done interviews with six GM candidates, including Caserio.

Caserio started working for the Patriots in 2001 and is one of the most important members of the team's front office. The Patriots have won six Super Bowl titles during his tenure in Foxboro. Caserio leaving for another team would not be an insignificant loss for the Pats.
