Jets’ Jamal Adams has interesting way of comparing himself to Tom Brady

New York Jets safety Jamal Adams clearly thinks very highly of himself, and that was made pretty obvious during his availability with reporters Wednesday.

Rumors surfaced before Tuesday's NFL trade deadline that the Jets were engaged in trade talks with the Dallas Cowboys involving Adams. The Baltimore Ravens reportedly made a push to acquire Adams as well, but the Jets ultimately decided to keep their star defensive back.

Adams called out Jets general manager Joe Douglas on Twitter after the trade deadline passed. On Wednesday, Adams compared himself to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Los Angeles Rams defensive end Aaron Donald by saying he's not a player the Jets should be taking trade calls on.

The best teams take calls on all players because you have to do what's best for the franchise. You have to listen if a rival club is going to massively overpay for one of your star players.

Adams is without question one of the best safeties in the league, but he's not at the level where his team should be hesitant about picking up the phone when opposing general managers call to talk about a trade.
