49ers fear Jimmy Garoppolo tore left ACL

Talk about a coincidence . . .

Late in the San Francisco 49ers Week 3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, former Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a non-contact left knee injury while scrambling down the sideline.

Garoppolo was carted off after the play, and now the 49ers fear it could be a torn ACL to their franchise quarterback.

After he was traded by the Patriots last season for a second round pick, Garoppolo won all five of his starts with the 49ers, leading to a massive five-year $137.5 million contract extension.

We will update this story as more information surfaces.
