BC/Wake Forest game moved up, not postponed over Hurricane Florence

Hurricane Florence is a terrifying Category 4 storm that is forcing over a million to people to be evacuated in areas of the Carolinas and Virginia. It's supposed to begin hitting North and South Carolina on Thursday, which is when Boston College football is scheduled to play Wake Forest at BB&T Stadium in Winston-Salem.

The solution, obviously, is to not reschedule the game for another date when there isn't a Category 4 storm. It's to move the game up two hours.

Per Tuesday's press release:

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Based on the current weather forecast related to Hurricane Florence, the Boston College at Wake Forest football game originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday night (Sept. 13) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has been moved to 5:30 p.m. The game will air on ESPN.

The league office, Boston College and Wake Forest will continue to monitor Hurricane Florence and make future adjustments as necessary.

One future adjustment might be to reschedule the game for another date when there isn't a Category 4 storm. Stay tuned.
