The Boston Celtics have won 17 NBA championships and retired 22 jersey numbers in their 74-year history.
But none of those numbers is 39. So, why does Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck drive around in a pickup truck with the license plate "Celtics 39"?
Avert your eyes, Los Angeles Lakers fans... In the latest episode of Nissan's "The Pick Up," Grousbeck confirmed to host Brian Scalabrine the number 39 is a reference to Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals, when the Celtics won the title by beating the Los Angeles Lakers by -- you guessed it -- 39 points.
"Have you seen my pickup truck?" Grousbeck said when Scalabrine brought up Boston's 131-92 rout. "The license plate is 'Celtics 39.' That's why."
The Celtics co-owner then snuck in one more dig for good measure:
"People ask, 'Why do you have 39?' And I'm like, 'Only Kobe (Bryant) and I really know.' "

It's a good thing Bryant doesn't live in Boston, or Grousbeck's tires would probably be slashed by now.
It's been a decade and counting since Boston's Big Three (and Scalabrine) steamrolled L.A. to win their 17th championship. The Milwaukee Bucks currently stand in their way for Banner 18, with the second-round series tied at 1-1.
But in case you haven't gathered, Grousbeck is a confident man.
"We're deeper than these other teams (in the playoffs)," Grousbeck added. "Those are the cards we're playing. We set up these deck of cards for the playoffs, because now we're deeper."
