The Boston Celtics won their second straight game on Thursday night, taking down the Golden State Warriors, 119-104.
Here are three instant overreactions from the victory, which brings them to 32-15 on the season:
1. Time to put Gordon Hayward trade talk to bed.
Verdict: Not an overreaction
If Hayward's performance vs. the Miami Heat on Tuesday didn't quiet the "trade Hayward" people out there, this game should have.
The C's forward led the way with 25 points on 8-for-15 shooting to go with seven rebounds. It marked his fourth straight game with 20-plus points. While it still may be premature to say he's back in All-Star form, Hayward certainly is trending in that direction.
Hayward downplayed the trade rumors on Thursday, stating he believes in the current roster going forward. His outing vs. the Warriors further proves you should feel the same way.

2. Jaylen Brown was snubbed from the All-Star Game.
Verdict: Overreaction
It was announced Thursday that Jayson Tatum will join Kemba Walker as the Celtics' representatives in this year's NBA All-Star Game. Predictably, that prompted plenty of "Jaylen Brown was snubbed" takes.
It's a valid argument. Brown entered Thursday night averaging 20.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 49.5 percent from the floor. Against the Warriors, he dropped 18 and pulled down seven boards.
Still, it's hard to knock any of the chosen Eastern Conference reserves out to put Brown in. Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, Ben Simmons, Khris Middleton, Bam Adebayo, and Domantas Sabonis each made the cut. You can argue Brown is having an All-Star caliber season, but I wouldn't consider him snubbed in such a loaded East. His time will come.
3. Despite win, Celtics have a lot to clean up before Saturday.
Verdict: Not an overreaction
Sure, the Celtics beat the lowly Warriors by 15, but they have plenty to clean up before their Saturday night matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
For one, they were really sloppy in this game turning the ball over a whopping 23 times. Boston has been one of the better teams in the league this year at preventing turnovers, so that should be an easy fix.
Although the final score says otherwise, the C's were pretty inconsistent defensively vs. Golden State. Just when they appeared to be pulling away, the Warriors would sneak their way back into the game to make it competitive again.
Lastly, Kemba Walker will have to make a bigger impact if the Celtics (0-3 vs. the 76ers this season) are to earn their first win over Philly. He finished with a quiet 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting. Of course, as long as Hayward, Tatum, and Brown produce at a high level, these 13-point nights from Walker will suffice.
