Terry Rozier found a symbolic way to express his optimism about the struggling Boston Celtics.
Late Sunday night, a day following Boston's fifth loss in its last seven games, the Celtics guard sent out this message on Twitter:
Rozier has posted cryptic tweets before, but this one wasn't hard to decipher. "Never let a hard time humble us" is a lyric from "Double Up" by the rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed Sunday at the age of 33.
Rozier appears to be paying his respects to Hussle while also expressing how he feels about this Celtics team, which finds itself in a battle for the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference with the Indiana Pacers.
It's not a battle the C's expected to be fighting before the season, but Rozier and his teammates still believe they can regain their swagger in the postseason despite a tumultuous regular season campaign.
With five games remaining before the playoffs, we'll find out soon enough if that confidence is well-placed.
