Report: Knicks interested in Gordon Hayward

Chris Forsberg and Kyle Draper talk with NBC Sports Boston draft guru Robbie Buckets about whether they would trade Gordon Hayward for Jrue Holiday

Another team reportedly is getting involved in the potential Gordon Hayward sweepstakes.

According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, the New York Knicks are interested in acquiring Hayward if the Boston Celtics forward becomes available next week. O'Connor mentions the Knicks as a suitor on Friday's episode of "The Mismatch" podcast (14:45 mark).

Forsberg: Five players worth trading for on Draft night

Hayward has a $34.2 million player option for 2021, but a report earlier this month stated he wants out of Boston. The 30-year-old also recently has been connected to the Indiana Pacers in trade rumors, so a sign-and-trade is a real possibility.

During the 2019-20 season, Hayward averaged 17.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists through 52 games played.
