The Chicago Bulls were embarrassed in a 56-point loss at home to the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, and some of their players even thought about not showing up to practice Sunday.
Here are the details on a group chat between the players, per The Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson:
The situation in Chicago is a mess. Fred Hoiberg was fired as head coach last week after a 5-19 start to the season. Jim Boylen took over the coaching role and Chicago has not shown much, if any improvement.
The Bulls are a very young, inexperienced team. Luckily for them, they have a few veterans with enough common sense to convince some of the players to show up to practice. A horrendous 56-point loss is tough, obviously, but it's not an excuse to stay away from the practice facility.
