More “tampering” from LeBron? Postgame dinner with Anthony Davis in L.A.

Those accusing LeBron James of tampering got a little more ammunition late Friday night with the Yahoo Sports' report of LeBron James dining with New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis in Los Angeles after James' Lakers defeated the Pels, 112-104.

James sounded a note of defiance when told of the tampering talk after the game. "They can’t control me at all," he said of NBA executives who might have a problem with his expressions of admiration for Davis' game and how it would be "amazing" to play with him. "And I play by the rules.”

So, while the Celtics may be "hawking" Davis as a trade target (and the Pelicans say no trade will happen this season), and AD reportedly has reservations about signing a supermax deal with the Pels this summer, LeBron and the Lakers appear well ahead of the field.

No wonder, Charles Barkley says the fix is in.
