Kendrick Perkins is going to speak his mind, and he doesn't care what you think about what comes out of it.
Since officially announcing his NBA retirement last Monday, the former Boston Celtics big man has tried his hand as a television analyst, appearing Monday on ESPN's "Get Up."
Perkins dropped some controversial takes, too, calling the Oklahoma City Thunder "dysfunctional" and comparing Kawhi Leonard to Michael Jordan.
Apparently Perkins has taken some heat for those remarks, because he felt compelled to defend himself Tuesday in a passionate tweet.
Tell 'em, Perk.
Perkins seems like a natural fit for TV: He's a great storyteller and has made connections with NBA stars from multiple generations over the last two decades.
He's even tweeting like an NBA player-turned-TV analyst, right down to the poor photo crop job that would make former Celtics teammate (and ESPN analyst) Paul Pierce proud:
If the 34-year-old really wants to pursue a TV career, though -- he's expressed interest in coaching, as well -- we've got news for him: The Twitter mob isn't going to get any nicer.
