Jayson Tatum and Grant Williams took to Twitter to congratulate Hardy shortly after hearing the news.
"Couldnโt be happier for my guy!" Tatum wrote. "Extremely deserving."
"Man Congratulations My Guy!! Hate to lose ya man and our daily wordles but no one more deserving and canโt wait to see you lead!!" Williams tweeted.
Hardy, 34, is now the youngest active head coach in the NBA. The former assistant of San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich will replace Quin Snyder, who went 372-264 during his Jazz tenure and made six straight postseason appearances.
