Latest on Jaylen's hand injury after stitches ‘split open' in Game 1

Jaylen Brown raised a few eyebrows Saturday night when he revealed his right hand laceration "split open" in the Boston Celtics' Game 1 win over the Atlanta Hawks at TD Garden.

Brown was present at the Celtics' practice Monday, however, and head coach Joe Mazzulla said the Celtics star had no restrictions.

Brown briefly exited Saturday's game against the Hawks in the first half to get his hand checked out, but returned to record a game-high 29 points and 12 rebounds in Boston's 112-99 victory. The All-Star wing admitted he had to adjust to the small wrap and padding on his right hand, however, and lamented his six turnovers in the game.

Brown was wearing a similar wrap and padding on his right hand at Monday's practice, although Mazzulla said he didn't believe Brown received any new stitches.

Brown's hand injury didn't appear to impact his scoring ability Saturday, but his ball-handling is worth monitoring over the course of the series, as the Celtics will look to cut down on the turnovers after committing 16 in Game 1.

Game 2 is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET at TD Garden, with NBC Sports Boston's coverage beginning at 6 p.m. with "Celtics Pregame Live."
