Full game highlights from the Boston Celtics’ 103-90 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals. With the win, the Warriors win their fourth championship since 2015.

No love was lost between Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and Boston Celtics fans over the course of the 2022 NBA Finals.

But despite being the frequent target of chants and jeers at TD Garden during the series, Green sounded rather appreciative of the fan base in the aftermath of his fourth championship win with Golden State.

Celtics-Warriors takeaways: Old habits doom C's in Finals-ending loss

"This fan base gave me a hard time, a really hard time," said Green, who has always seemed to embellish being a lightning rod. "To come here and get a win, it's awesome. I appreciate this fan base, they brought incredible energy, gotta give kudos to them, but we did what we do. Welcome back to the Warriors Invitational."

Green didn't have a strong series statistically for the Warriors -- Game 6 was his first cracking double digits in scoring, finishing with 12 points -- but he was no stranger to the spotlight.

After Golden State dropped Game 1, Green -- somewhat prophetically -- downplayed the shooting barrage from Al Horford, Derrick White and Marcus Smart down the stretch. Green tangled it up with Jaylen Brown and Grant Williams in Game 2 in San Francisco, making him public enemy No. 1 at TD Garden for Game 3. In Game 5, he continued to be a thorn in the side of the Celtics, agitating Jayson Tatum following a whistle in the fourth quarter.

When all was said and done, Green saved his best for last, making his first two 3-point field goals of the series in Golden State's close out win. In addition to 12 points, he had 12 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and two steals for the Warriors, who won their fourth championship since 2015.
