Ryan McDonough joins Chris Forsberg and DJ Bean on Early Edition to discuss whether the Celtics should consider the free agent

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum is a proud St. Louis native, so he never passes up an opportunity to cheer for his hometown Cardinals.

Last week, Tatum tweeted that he wanted to throw out the first pitch for the Cardinals at an upcoming game. He got that opportunity Sunday afternoon before the Cardinals played the rival Chicago Cubs at Busch Stadium.

The Celtics forward took to the mound wearing a No. 0 Cardinals jersey and tossed a strike.

Check it out in the videos below:

The Cardinals entered Sunday leading the National League Central division with a 78-55 record.

It was a busy sports weekend for Tatum.

Before traveling to St. Louis to throw out the first pitch Sunday, Tatum attended the Ohio State vs. Notre Dame college football game in Columbus on Saturday night. Tatum was one of many star athletes, along with LeBron James, Ezekiel Elliott and others, who showed up to the most anticipated game on the Week 1 schedule.
