The NBA season has been put on hold for at least 30 days due to the coronavirus crisis, meaning we may have to wait until mid-April at the earliest to watch the Boston Celtics again.
As a way to make up for the loss of Celtics action, we'll be using the NBA 2K20 video game to simulate each game on Boston's schedule until they finally return to action.
PREVIOUS SIMULATIONS:
The Celtics were supposed to take on the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, March 15. Here's how our simulation of that game went:
CELTICS STATS
Boston Celtics
Find the latest Boston Celtics news, highlights, analysis and more with NBC Sports Boston.
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum were the stars in our simulation this time around. Brown tallied a game-high 26 points while Tatum trailed just behind him with 25.
With the victory never in doubt, the C's reserves got plenty of action. The standouts off Boston's bench were Brad Wanamaker (15 points, 4 assists, 2 steals), and Javonte Green (7 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals).
BULLS STATS
Coby White and Tomas Satoransky, who dropped 17 and 15 points respectively, really were the only bright spots for the Bulls. Thaddeus Young was solid too, contributing 12 points and eight rebounds.
TEAM COMPARISON
The biggest takeaways here are the Celtics and Bulls' shooting percentages, Boston's bench scoring (40 points? Yeah right), and Chicago's whopping 16 turnovers. The Celtics' largest lead was 35 points in the blowout.
FINAL SCORE: Celtics 113, Bulls 81
The Celtics snap their two-game losing skid (losses in simulations vs. the Bucks and Wizards). Stay tuned for the NBA 2K version of the 2019-20 Boston Celtics' next matchup vs. the New York Knicks on Wednesday.
