MINNEAPOLIS -- Brad Stevens is widely viewed as one of the better coaches in the NBA right now.
When it comes to the Celtics’ coaching lineage, Stevens has done quite well along those lines as well.
With Boston’s 127-117 win over Minnesota on Friday, Stevens has now won 309 games in Boston which moves him ahead of K.C. Jones to the No. 4 spot on the franchise’s list of winningest coaches.
Up next is the man Stevens replaced, Doc Rivers, who won 416 games in Boston with the top two in terms of all-time wins being Red Auerbach and NBC Sports Boston analyst and two-time Hall of Famer Tommy Heinsohn, who won 795 and 427 games respectively.
