After missing Monday's loss to the Magic with a right hamstring strain, Aron Baynes will miss his second straight game against the Thunder Thursday.
The Celtics have had a slower start than expected this season with a 2-2 record. Their defensive consistency is not near the level it was a season ago when the team led the league in defensive efficiency. Baynes had a lot to do with that, and this year is nothing different as he holds a league-leading 74.6 defensive rating.
The Celtics will have their hands full with a Thunder team with similar championship aspirations and disappointing early season record.
Until Baynes comes back, the Celtics will need less talented defenders to step up.
