McLaughlin had plenty of friends and family in attendance to watch him live out his lifelong dream.

The 22-year-old's goal extended Boston's lead to 7-1. The B's scored a whopping six goals in the second period alone.

McLaughlin signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Bruins earlier this month. The Boston College center joined the B's after the Eagles' season-ending loss to Northeastern in the Hockey East tournament. He also represented Team USA at the Beijing Olympics earlier this year.

Over four seasons for BC, McLaughlin tallied 40 goals and 36 assists for 76 points.
