BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins fan banner captain is one of the coolest traditions in the Stanley Cup playoffs, and Monday night's honorees were a fitting choice for the occasion.
Eight members of the 2011 Stanley Cup-winning Bruins team -- Dennis Seidenberg, Shawn Thornton, Andrew Ference, Rich Peverley, Daniel Paille, Chris Kelly, Michael Ryder, and Gregory Campbell -- were joined by Special Olympics athlete Liam O’Brien as the Bruins fan banner captains before Boston took on the St. Louis Blues in Game 1 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final at TD Garden.

What better way to fire up the Garden crowd than players from the Bruins' last championship team?
These 2011 Bruins players join a long list of retired B's, current Boston athletes and community heroes who have served as the team's honorary fan banner captain in the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs.
