FINAL SCORE: Bruins 7, Blues 2
IN BRIEF: The Bruins absolutely dominated on the power play, converting on all four of their chances. The team chased Jordan Binnington from the game after scoring five times. Patrice Bergeron notched his 100th playoff point en route to a three-point night while Torey Krug became the first Bruin to record four points in a Stanley Cup Final game.

FROM JOE HAGGERTY:
The Blues came out and once again tried to impose their physical will with some big hits, but this time around it didn’t work quite as well. Sammy Blais hit David Backes with a hit straight in his face in the opening minutes of the game and Brayden Schenn attempted to throw a flying hit at David Pastrnak when he cut it back in the offensive zone, but missed after he launched into the air to make the hit. The Blues instead took a few penalties and allowed the Bruins enough room to eventually score three goals and take a big lead in the first period. That allowed them to keep right on rolling into an eventual 6-2 win that was as one-sided as it sounded like on the scoreboard.

How about Patrice Bergeron? He looked banged up this morning at the skate and has appeared injured in this series, but he finds a way to camp out in the slot and tip a Torey Krug point shot past Jordan Binnington for the goal. Four shots on net, three hits and 11-of-19 face-off wins for Bergeron while playing some very good hockey over the course of his three periods. He finished with a goal and three points, and was dynamite for the Black and Gold on the power play like he’s been all season long.
The depth and the special teams again kill it for the Bruins. Charlie Coyle and Sean Kuraly each added goals in after Bergeron’s power play score in the first period, and really made it pretty much impossible for a limited St. Louis offensive group to come back in tonight’s game. The Bruins also scored three power play goals to really pour on the offense and play their most dominant offensive game of the series to this point. The Blues just don’t look like they can hang with the Bruins when they’ve got their good skating game going on.
