BOSTON -- Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug is a fan favorite, and he showed why with a devastating hit in Game 1 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final.
Krug, who had lost his helmet during a scrum in front of Boston's net, skated the length of the ice and took aim at Blues forward Robert Thomas in the St. Louis zone, absolutely pummeling him.

The hit, as you might imagine, brought the TD Garden crowd to its feet and gave the B's a jolt of energy at a crucial time in the game.
The Bruins held a 3-2 third-period lead at the time of the hit.
