Bruins chase Blues goalie Jordan Binnington with five goals on 19 shots in Game 3

Rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington has played really well for the St. Louis Blues in the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs, but he was anything but good Saturday night.

Binnington gave up five goals on 19 shots versus the Boston Bruins in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, and Torey Krug's power-play goal at 12:12 of the second period was the last bit of action for the Blues goaltender on the night. It was the first time Binnington has been pulled in his NHL career.

Jake Allen replaced Binnington in the Blues net for his first appearance of  the postseason.

Binnington had a .917  save percentage (55 saves on 60 shots) in the first two games of the Cup Final. He played very well in the final two periods plus the overtime period of Game 2 in Boston, where St. Louis earned a 3-2 win.

The 25-year-old netminder has shown an impressive bounce-back ability in the 2019 playoffs with a 6-2 record following a loss. He'll need that trend to continue in Game 4 or the Blues could go back to Boston facing elimination.
