Patrice Bergeron represented the Boston Bruins at the 2022 NHL All-Star Game in Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon, and it didn't end well for the Atlantic Division squad.
The Atlantic lost to the Central Division team 8-5 in the second semifinal matchup of the All-Star Game. This is the sixth season in which the league has used this format with 3-on-3 games between the four divisions. The Atlantic team has never won in this format.

HIGHLIGHTS
Bergeron was able to share this All-Star weekend with his three kids. They accompanied their dad to the ice for warmups before the second semifinal game.
Bergeron found the back of the net in the second period of the Atlantic's game against the Central. His tally tied the score at three goals apiece with 8:58 remaining.
It was a pretty impressive shot that beat Nashville Predators goalie Juuse Saros stick side.
In addition to his goal, Bergeron won five of his six faceoffs in 7:38 (eight shifts) of ice time.

Messier was an analyst between periods on ABC's broadcast with host Steve Levy and fellow analyst Chris Chelios. The Oilers and Rangers legend very much enjoyed the competitiveness Bergeron brought to the All-Star Game.
"I love watching (Bergeron) play," Messier said after the Atlantic team lost its semifinal matchup. "Finishing these checks, eliminating his man, doing all the things he's supposed to do. He just can't change his game. I just love it."
That's right -- Bergeron isn't going to change the way he plays just because it's an exhibition.
