Washington Commanders at New Orleans Saints Prediction: Odds, Best Bets, News, Injuries, & Stats for Week 15

Campbell refuses to step into game for 49ers
Mike Florio and Rodney Harrison react to De’Vondre Campbell walking off of the field for the 49ers after refusing to enter the game against the Rams and if any there were "any signals" given prior to this gesture.

Washington Commanders at New Orleans Saints Preview:

The 8-5 Washington Commanders head to New Orleans to take on the 5-8 Saints. The Commanders are looking to build on their 42-19 victory over the Tennessee Titans. A victory that snapped a three-game winning streak.

The Commanders will look for their fourth road win of the season. Unfortunately for the Saints, they will be without Derek Carr. Carr has been ruled out due to suffering injuries to his hand and sustaining a concussion.

Carr is currently considered week-to-week. This is certainly a huge blow to the Saints, who are only two games back of the Buccaneers in the NFC South. Now, they must rely on former Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener.

NBC Sports Bet Best Bets:

NBC Sports analyst Brad Thomas (@MrBradThomas) is leaning toward the Commanders -8 as the best bet...

Thomas: “If you were hip to the Carr news, you’d likely be sitting on a nice New Orleans Saints team total under ticket. However, right now 17.5 is juiced big time towards the under. I’d rather take my chances on betting the spread. A spread that only moved 0.5 points, indicating the Carr news was likely already baked into the line.

Fading Haener is the responsible thing to do. Haener has appeared in seven games this season and has just 177 yards and one touchdown on 29 pass attempts. There is a chance they could also be without Alvin Kamara who missed two straight practices due to illness.”

Commanders at Saints Team Stats, Betting Trends:

  • The Commanders have covered the spread in nine of their last ten away games against teams with losing records
  • The Saints have won four of their last five matchups against NFC East teams
  • Four of the Commanders’ last five games (80%) have gone over the Total
