Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks Prediction: Odds, Best Bets, News, Injuries, and Stats for Week 16

Avoid starting Mixon, Harris, Pacheco in Week 16
Matthew Berry, Connor Rogers and Jay Croucher explain why fantasy managers cannot trust Joe Mixon and Isiah Pacheco during the second week of the fantasy playoffs, citing their recent injuries as reasons to bench them.

Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks Preview:

The 12-2 Minnesota Vikings have to be one of the league’s biggest surprises. Before the start of the season, their win total was set at 6.5. They are a couple of wins away from doubling their projected win total.

Sam Darnold was the biggest surprise for this team. At times Darnold this season, Darnold has played at an MVP level. It could be said that he’s looked much better this year than Kirk Cousins. Darnold has been able to link up with his two excellent wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.

Having already clinched a playoff berth, the Vikings head to Seattle to take on the 8-6 Seahawks.

At 8-6, the Seahawks have some work to do to catch the 9-5 Commanders. Coming off a loss to the Packers, the Seahawks have a 35% chance to make the playoffs. With a win, that number increases to 50% and down to 22% with a loss.

In that loss to the Packers, quarterback Geno Smith left the game early with a knee injury. If Smith is unable to go against the Vikings, Sam Howell will be under center. Head coach Mike Macdonald has expressed his faith in Howell should he be the next man up.

The Seahawks are 7-1 in the last eight games against the Vikings. However, it’s the Minnesota Vikings who are the 3-point favorites.

NBC Sports Bet Best Bets:

NBC Sports analyst Brad Thomas (@MrBradThomas) recommends betting on Minnesota Vikings -3…

Thomas: “While I expect Geno Smith to play, there are other injuries that the Seahawks must sort through. As of Wednesday night, neither Kenneth Walker III nor Zach Charbonnet have yet to practice this week.

Taking a chance on the Vikings on the road who are the better team is a shot worth taking. Especially with the bulk of the Seahawks offense on the injury report.”
