Chiefs at Steelers prediction: Odds, expert picks, QB matchup, injury report, betting trends, and stats

The stakes are high for both the Chiefs (14-1) and the Steelers (10-5) Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

Looking to win an unprecedented 3rd straight Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes and KC can clinch the top seed in the AFC playoffs with a win on Christmas. A loss means the 1-seed is still in play heading into the final week of the regular season.

Meanwhile, Russell Wilson and the Steelers remain atop the AFC North despite this past weekend’s loss to the Ravens, but they need to win out to insure they secure that division crown, the 3-seed, and a home game to open the playoffs.

The Steelers have lost two of their last three games. The issue has been a lack of offense with Pittsburgh scoring 13 and 17 points in their two most recent losses. It is probably not a coincidence WR George Pickens (hamstring) has been on the sidelines each of the last three weeks. Good news for Steelers’ fans: the Pittsburgh deep threat is looking more and more likely to return Wednesday.

Kansas City is one of four teams in the entire league who has yet to score 31 points in a game. The other three – the Patriots, Giants, and Raiders – have a combined record of 7-34. Always just good enough to win is basically the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes and co. have won 16 consecutive one-score games. That is an amazing stat that dates back into last season. Unbelievably efficient or on an amazing streak of good fortune? Not sure it matters but it is probably a little bit of both.

Lets dive into the matchup and find a few sweats.
