If fretting wagering on NFL spreads — historically the sharpest lines available at any book — props can be an intriguing and outright fun way to have skin in the game for a player’s performance each and every week. This ongoing series will be a weekly feature outlining my favorite player props for TNF, including the six detailed below. Cam Akers OVER 48.5 Rushing Yards (-113) — PointsBet Sportsbook
Darrell Henderson OVER 23.5 Rushing Yards (-115) — PointsBet Sportsbook
This one could admittedly go awry since Akers’ season-highs in snaps (52, 63%), carries (21), and opportunities inside the 10-yard line (7) occurred with Darrell Henderson (knee) sidelined for a significant stretch on Sunday. The good news is Malcolm Brown capsized on a season-low in snaps (13, 16%) even with Henderson off the field. Assuming Week 13 was a true passing of the torch onto a two-headed committee, both Akers and Henderson are being undervalued in what’s being perceived as an ambiguous situation.
Josh Reynolds UNDER 30.5 Receiving Yards (-114) — PointsBet Sportsbook
Coach Sean McVay presumably soured on Josh Reynolds, who has failed to exceed 40 receiving yards or score a touchdown in three consecutive games, in running him onto the field for a season-low in snaps (37, 45%) against the Cardinals. Note that Van Jefferson also ran more routes than Reynolds (26-23) in Week 13, seeing five targets as the team’s third receiver off the bench.

BONUS: Van Jefferson OVER Props, Wherever Applicable
I’ve scoured books available in my area but have been unable to find any props for Jefferson thus far. If they’re available where you are, they should be wagered on with confidence for the reasons listed above. (He’s being priced as the team’s fourth receiver at a few offshore books I’ve seen but likely enters Thursday as the tertiary starter in three-wide sets.)
