Christian McCaffrey O/U 78.5 Rushing Yards vs. Seahawks
We have a NFC West showdown for Thursday Night Football and I am excited to watch Christian McCaffrey.
Deebo Samuel is out for this game and the last time that happened, CMC went for 94 rushing yards on 17 carries and eight receptions on nine targets for 55 yards and two total touchdowns versus the Rams. He had a game.
Since then, CMC had three-straight games of less than 40 rushing yards, but in the past two games, the 49ers’ running back has gashed opponents for 66 and 119 on 17 and 14 rushing attempts with longs of 30 and 38 versus the Dolphins and Buccaneers.
This is a positive matchup for CMC as Seattle has struggled since the bye week and has yet to face McCaffrey this season. Here’s how Seattle’s rushing defense has looked in the past three weeks, since the bye:
Panthers’ Chuba Hubbard: 14 attempts, 74 yards, 1 TD
Panthers’ D’Onta Foreman: 21 attempts, 74 yards
Rams’ Cam Akers: 17 attempts, 60 yards, 2 TDs
Raiders’ Josh Jacobs: 33 attempts, 229 yards, 2 TDs
CMC could have a day and his 78.8% snap share versus the Rams was the second-highest since joining the 49ers, so I expect a similar usage on TNF without Deebo and a chance to clinch a playoff spot.
The 49ers’ quarterback Brock Purdy is banged up so I could also see CMC getting more carries because of that.
I grabbed CMC Over 78.5 Rushing Yards at -113 odds and would sprinkle 100+ yards (+210) or 2 TDs (+360). I would play this to 80+ yards or Over 79.5.
