After earning the Game 1 victory, the Trail Blazers face the Nuggets tonight in Game 2 of their series. Portland was a 1-point dog in Game 1 and topped that with an easy 14-point victory. The Nuggets will look to tie the series up tonight before heading to Portland for games three and four.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Denver Nuggets (-1.5) Total: 227
The result of Game 1 between these two squads doesn’t tell the full story of how they played. Yes, the Trail Blazers did score a 14-point victory, but the game was much closer than that. The Denver Nuggets led 61-58 at halftime and it looked like it was going to be another Western Conference thriller. Instead, Portland got hot from three in the second half and outscored Denver 38-25 in the third.
When the Trail Blazers get hot from three they can be very tough to beat, hitting 47% of their three pointers in Game 1 compared to the Nuggets’ 30% mark from three. Damian Lillard shot 5-12 from three, CJ McCollum was 3-7 from downtown and Carmelo Anthony was 4-8 from deep. Before the Blazers three-point onslaught the Nuggets actually had a 9-point lead.
