The Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants begin a four-game series tonight in Arizona. Tonight’s game will be their 11th meeting of the season with the Giants having won nine of the first 10 meetings. The game odds are powered by PointsBet.

San Francisco Giants (-200) vs Arizona Diamondbacks (+170) Total: 9.5

The Diamondbacks have been no match for the Giants this season. The Giants are 9-1 on the Money Line and 6-4 on the Run Line vs. their N.L. West foe. Anthony DeSclafani will start for the Giants while the Diamondbacks are going with Taylor Widener.

DeSclafani has been great this season. He has a 10-5 record with a 3.10 ERA.

In his starts, the Giants are 14-7 on the Money Line, including 2-0 against the Diamondbacks.

The National League West leading Giants are 9-7 on the Money Line since the All-Star break. They have 31 road wins this season, which ties them with the Dodgers for most in the National League. On the other hand, the Diamondbacks are 12 games under .500 at home.

The Giants are obviously a big favorite in this game. I rarely will lay -200 on a baseball game, but on a night with only seven MLB games, the action has to come from somewhere. PointsBet opened up the Total on this game at 9.5. The number has remained at 9.5, but it has been juiced to the Under at -115. I believe the Under is the correct side, but I worry about the Giants having an offensive explosion vs. Taylor Widener. In Widener’s last 12.2 innings, he has given up 11 earned runs. With all that being said, I’m going to back the Giants on the Run Line at -125 on PointsBet.

EDGE: Giants -1.5 (-125)
