The lead remains at 10-under heading into the final round of the Valero Texas Open. With overnight leader, Ryan Palmer, going in the wrong direction, the leaderboard has tightened ahead of what is sure to be an action-packed Sunday.
Dylan Frittelli, Beau Hossler, Brandt Snedeker, and J.J. Spaun are the four men who occupy the top spot on the leaderboard at 10-under. A pair of Texans and a pair of veterans, the quartet will all be playing for not only their tomorrow, but also for their next week as none have been invited to the Masters as it stands.
Meaningful for each, tomorrow may mean just a bit more for Snedeker who arrived to TPC San Antonio off five consecutive missed cuts. When asked if there were any changes ahead of the Valero Texas Open, the 41-year-old answered candidly.
Saying, “Yeah, just kind of more mentality. I’ve been working hard at it, probably as hard as I ever have in my career, I just haven’t had any success. And the only way you fix that is to go out there and do it, go out there and keep practicing and keep grinding, which I’ve been doing. And you’ve got to relish the challenge when you get them, so hopefully this is kind of a turning point for me this year and kind of get back where I belong and where I think I belong. It’s up there trying to win golf tournaments.”
Echoing the remarks of Matthew NeSmith at the Valspar Championship, Snedeker will attempt to separate himself from the pack in tomorrow’s final round. Ranking first in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, second in SG: Approach, and 11th in SG: Around-the-Green, the former FedEx Cup champion will be dangerous to do just that if able to rediscover his pop-stroke on the greens.
Sitting at +600 at PointsBet Sportsbook, Snedeker trails both Frittelli and Hossler on the odds board. Hoping the final four disappoints, our third-round addition of Maverick McNealy at +28000 lurks in the shallows three-strokes off the lead at 7-under.

Round 4 Plays:
Anirban Lahiri +19000 to win at FanDuel (0.17 units):
This number is woefully off compared to the market, so I will happily add one last outright selection. Standing at 6-under and four-strokes off the pace, the Indian acquitted himself quite nicely the last we saw him in the heat of the battle at The PLAYERS Championship.
27th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 26th in SG: Approach, the ball-striking appears to be in a comfy spot heading into tomorrow. Needing to make up some ground to effectively play spoiler, Lahiri’s putter will hold the keys to his success. With his first three rounds reading: +3.00, -3.08, and +3.13 SG: Putting, if able to replicate the two positive efforts, he will have a considerable opportunity to post a number for the leaders to look at.
