Last week at the Masters, the world witnessed three extraordinary performances. Tiger Woods not only played in the Masters just one year removed from a catastrophic car accident, but he made the cut and completed all four rounds. Rory McIlroy posted a bogey-free 64 final round from the complements of a hole-out from the bunker on 18, a score that was just one stroke shy of tying the tournament record. Most importantly, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler picked up his first major. The University of Texas product catapulted himself to a five-stroke lead Saturday and finished the job Sunday with a three-stroke victory over Rory McIlroy.

This week the PGA Tour heads to Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island in South Carolina for the RBC Heritage. The stacked field is highlighted by PointsBet Sportsbook’s odds-on favorite, Justin Thomas (+1100), Collin Morikawa (+1300), and Cameron Smith (+1400).

Last year’s champion Stewart Cink is in the field, priced at a generous +10000. Cink won last year’s event due to two opening 63s. He won the event by four strokes over Harold Varner III (+5000) and Emiliano Grillo (+12500).

Cameron Smith was the golfer who caught my eye at first glance to win the Masters. Ultimately, I shied away from backing him at +1600. If it weren’t for the catastrophic Masters Sunday meltdown by Smith (+1400), I would likely bet on him this week. At first glance, my interest is in Corey Conners at +2200 and Shane Lowry at +2000. Conners performed well here last year and proved that his game is returning over the past few months. As for Lowry, he’s playing great golf and has succeeded at Harbour Town.
