After a cold, windy, and challenging week at TPC Potomac, the PGA Tour heads to TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Tx, for the AT&T Byron Nelson. With the PGA Championship just one week away, this week’s field is strong with the PGA Tours’ top players gearing up for the second major of the season.
Seven of the world’s top 15 players are scheduled to compete this week. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the field and is PointBet Sportsbook’s favorite at +1100; after Scheffler is Justin Thomas at +1300 and Xander Schauffele at +1800.
Last year was the first time the Byron Nelson was hosted at TPC Craig, which K.H. Lee won at +20000 odds. Lee finished at a blazing 25-under-par; three strokes clear of the runner-up Sam Burns. This year, Lee’s odds are listed at +10000 and Burns at +2000. I think Burns is at an attractive price compared to the golfers around him. He has the more recent individual win than Thomas and Schauffele and more wins on the season than Jordan Spieth at +2000.

At first glance, there are many guys on whom I would love to place bets on. Burns is the first, he has two wins this season and a runner-up finish here last year. The question is if his price is too low. Spieth is a great option, too, he played well here, firing the first-round leader 63, but his final round 71 ended any hopes of him winning here. What about Seamus Power at +6000? He finished top-10 here last year and has had a solid start to the season.
While we contemplate who we are betting on this week, here’s a look at the notable odds set by PointsBet Sportsbook:
