The third week of college football starts with a group of five Thursday night contest from Lafayette, Louisiana, where the Ragin’ Cajuns host the Ohio Bobcats.

Ohio Bobcats vs. Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (-20.5) Total:57

The Ragin’ Cajuns opened the 2021 season with a loss vs. the Texas Longhorns but, last week, they scored their first victory of the new season with a win vs. FCS Nicholls. The Ragin’ Cajuns, who were 26-point home favorites, only won by three points, 27-24. This week, they are 20-point home favorites vs. the MAC’s Ohio Bobcats.

The Bobcats are 0-2 to start the season with losses vs. Syracuse and Duquesne; Ohio was the favorite in both games. In the game vs. Syracuse, Ohio lost at home as a two point favorite. Against Duquesne, they lost as 28-point home favorites. It’s safe to say things are not going well for the Bobcats this season.

Tonight’s game opened up on PointsBet with the Ragin’ Cajuns as 20-point favorites. The number touched 21 before being bought back to 20.5, where it currently stands. Louisiana-Lafayette is 3-3 ATS since 2018 in games where they were 20 point or more favorites. When those games where played at home, the Under cashed in three of the four games.

The Total in this game opened up at 54.5 and was bet all the way to up 57.5. Once it hit 57.5, the number fell back down to 57. The original Total is probably closer to where this game will be played. Since Billy Napier has been the head coach for the Ragin’ Cajuns, they are 12-5 (70%) to the Under at home. I’m making the smart play tonight and betting the Under.

EDGE: UNDER 57
