Warriors big man Kevon Looney played his lone season of college basketball at UCLA. During the 2014-15 campaign in a Bruin uniform, Looney shot 41.5 percent (22-for-53) from beyond the arc.
He only attempted 16 3-pointers over his first three NBA seasons combined, making four. Last season, he went 1-for-10 from deep.
On Monday night, the 23-year-old agreed to terms on a three-year, $15 million contract with Golden State, which reportedly includes a player option in 2021-22.

With Kevin Durant bound for the Nets and Klay Thompson out for an extended period with a torn left ACL, Looney is going to have a bigger offensive role next season.
And you should probably expect to see him step out beyond the 3-point line a lot more.
"He's got a lot more game than people know of, and we see it in practice," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said on Dec. 20. "Kevon is such a conscientious player that he's normally deferring to the stars.
"But we're gonna ask him to do more. We think he can make 3s."

The Warriors haven't run a lot of pick-and-rolls under Kerr, but that could change next season. Last week, he said: "Everything's on the table for us going into next year -- from starting jobs, to style of play."

So it's possible we see Looney setting a bunch of high ball screens for Steph Curry and D'Angelo Russell and then popping for 3-pointers.
Then again, we might not.
