He went to Monte Vista High School in Danville.

“Probably (Chris) Mullin,” Myers recently told Tim Kawakami of The Athletic. “Just the ability to shoot like he did. And the passing ability. Plus being the one consistent guy who was on the team the longest.
"And I got to play against him at open gym at Monte Vista one time.”

The Warriors selected Mullin with the No. 7 overall pick in the 1985 NBA Draft.
He was an All-Star five straight years from 1989 to 1993, averaging 25.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.9 steals while shooting over 52 percent from the field and better than 35 percent from deep.

The Hall of Famer scored 41 points against the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 1989 playoffs, and 41 points against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the 1991 Western Conference semifinals.
