Unprompted, Klay Thompson emphatically shut down any talk about potentially retiring after his contract expires in 2024.
Four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson has been a part of many memorable games during the Warriors' dynasty.
However, when Thompson was on the "All the Smoke" show, the 32-year-old revealed why his return against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Jan. 9, 2022 stands above the rest.
"For me, it was probably my favorite game of my career," Thompson told Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. "First one back, I didn't know what to expect.

"Definitely didn't think I'd catch two bodies, I'll tell you that."
The moment Thompson is referring to happened in the second quarter of the aforementioned game.
With three minutes left in the first half and the shot clock winding down, Thompson -- with Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen defending him -- crossed up the 7-footer and drove into the lane.
Thompson then elevated over Lamar Stevens and Lauri Markkanen for a massive poster slam as the shot clock expired, much to the joy of everyone at Chase Center.

Recalling that moment to Barnes and Jackson, Thompson noted just how tough it was to elevate during his rehab assignments with the Warriors' G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
"I was in Santa Cruz a month earlier and it was tough to get to the cup," Thompson said. "I was like, 'Gah man, I don't remember it being this hard,' and it was just tough to dunk."
Thompson added that feeling Chase Center's energy was an "out of body experience" and he couldn't believe that he was able to dunk, especially in traffic.
The Warriors' star also said that he had to "live up to the hype" as fans and teammates alike had been waiting 941 days for his on-court return.
In all, Thompson went on to say that there's no "better feeling" in basketball than dunking on someone and he was taken aback by the fact that he did it in his first game back.
"When I have a bad day at the gym, I watch that clip because I'm like, 'OK, anything is really possible, everything's going to be all right,' " Thompson concluded.
After missing two seasons due to a left ACL tear and a right Achilles tear, Thompson returned to action against the Cavs and promptly put up 17 points, grabbed three rebounds and had an assist in just under 20 minutes.
Following Thompson's return, the rest was history as the Warriors won their fourth title in eight years, defeating the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals in six games.

This season, Thompson says he is fully confident in his legs and is "feeling like himself" as the Warriors look to repeat as champions.
There is no doubt that the Warriors organization and its fans are grateful to see Thompson out there each night, especially after everything he has gone through.
