The Warriors and Kings won't just play for bragging rights Friday night at Golden 1 Center.
There are real, genuine standings consequences in Sacramento. Only three games separate the Warriors (19-10) and the Kings (15-12) in the Western Conference, leading to the possibility that both teams could make the postseason in the same year.
But both teams still have 50-plus games to go before that happens. In the meantime, they'll have to play the biggest game in recent memory of the (maybe) rivalry.
