ROTATION OUTLOOK

Warriors:

The loss of Jones, who started 22 of the first 24 games, leaves the Warriors shorthanded up front. Looney, who started the other two games, will be called upon to start, but Jordan Bell could see considerable time. Both will be needed to handle most of the load. It’s possible that Jerebko also will get minutes at center.

The Warriors likely will spend much of the game playing small, with Durant at power forward and Andre Iguodala at small forward.

Coach Steve Kerr conceded last week that he’s searching for the right combination to provide optimal floor spacing, which could translate into minutes for point guard Quinn Cook. The goal is to get cleaner looks for shooters, especially when launching from deep. The Hawks lead the NBA in points allowed (118.1) and rank 29th in 3-point shooting defense.

No matter who is playing, the Warriors must take care of the ball. Atlanta is fourth in the NBA in forcing turnovers, at 17.3.

Hawks:

Former Warriors guard Kent Bazemore has been replaced in the starting lineup and is in the Sixth Man role.

Heralded rookie Young is averaging a team-high 15.6 ppg but is shooting only 37.8 percent from the field, 24.8 percent from deep.

Prince and Huerter (a rookie) have been the most dangerous 3-point shooting threats. Prince is 10-of-23 over the previous four games, Huerter is 12-of-24 over his last seven.

Game by game, the most effective member of the team has been power forward Collins, who missed the first month with an ankle injury. He returned two weeks ago and is averaging 14.9 ppg and 6.8 rpg.
