Judging by their first preseason game, the Warriors are going to shoot a ton of 3-pointers this season.
And they're going to make a ton, too.
Golden State launched from long distance early and often throughout its 121-107 preseason win over the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center on Monday night and nearly matched an NBA record in the process. The Warriors shot 24-of-69 from 3-point land in the victory, finishing one attempt shy of the most 3-pointers ever attempted in an NBA game (70), set by the Houston Rockets on Jan. 16, 2019.

SIGN UP HERE Now, even if the Warriors had attempted two more 3s against the Blazers, it still wouldn't have set the record since it came in a preseason game. But nonetheless, it says plenty about the Warriors' offensive approach this season.
Kevon Looney was the only one of 16 Warriors who played Monday night who didn't attempt at least one 3-pointer, and four made at least three each. Jordan Poole led the way, sinking 7-of-13 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 30 points, while free-agent additions Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica combined to go 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.
"We're going to take a ton of threes this year," coach Steve Kerr said after the win.

The Warriors never attempted more than 54 3-pointers in any game last season. They might not average 69 attempts per contest this time around, but clearly, they're going to be firing away.
