The Warriors' road game against the Denver Nuggets that was supposed to take place on Dec. 30, 2021, has been rescheduled by the NBA for 6 p.m. PT on Monday, March 7.
The postponement of the game last week at Ball Arena was because of a COVID-19 outbreak among Nuggets players and coaches, plus several players dealing with injuries. Denver didn't have the required eight healthy players in order to play the game.

But that didn't sit well with Warriors star Draymond Green, who missed the previous meeting with the Nuggets two days earlier because he was in the NBA's health and safety protocol. Golden State was without several players for the game that they lost 89-86, and they felt the Nuggets should have had to compete at a disadvantage last Thursday.
In a series of tweets, Draymond knew that the postponement meant the Warriors' schedule would be compromised by the new date for the game.
In the end, Draymond was right. Under the original schedule, the Warriors were supposed to have two days off between playing at the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, March 5 and hosting the LA Clippers on Tuesday, March 8.
Now, the Warriors lose one of those off days and they have to play a back-to-back with the Nuggets and Clippers in two different cities.

That's not it either. After playing the Clippers, the Warriors then have to travel right back to Denver for a rematch with the Nuggets on Thursday, March 10.
There was one benefit to the Warriors-Nuggets game getting postponed last Thursday. Klay Thompson traveled with the team to Denver and they were able to use an empty Ball Arena to get a scrimmage in. It was a big step in Thompson's recovery that likely wouldn't have happened if the game had been played as scheduled.

The NBA likely didn't have many options when they could reschedule the postponed game, but the solution is not ideal for the Warriors as they make a push to secure the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
