OAKLAND -- Shaun Livingston has been sidelined for nine days now, and his absence from the Warriors could extend to a full two weeks or longer.
Livingston, coping with lingering soreness in his right foot, was ruled out for Monday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies at Oracle Arena.
“I talked to him, and he’s feeling a lot better,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after practice Sunday. “But he needs a little practice before we put him out there.”

Livingston, 33, has played in four of the team’s 10 games this season but only twice since Oct. 19. The backup point guard has played a total of 57 minutes. In his last appearance, against the Knicks on Oct. 26 in New York, he played nine minutes.
Even though Livingston is improving, the Warriors are placing no timetable on his return.
“I’m hoping by the end of the week,” Kerr said. “But we’ll take it slow.”
The Warriors will play host to the rampaging Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday and the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.

Livingston’s absence has not yet had a profound adverse effect on the Warriors. They’re 9-1 and have been getting significant contributions from reserves Jonas Jerebko and Alfonzo McKinnie.
