His "night night" celebration has overtaken the sports world after debuting in the Warriors' 2022 NBA Finals run. Now, even young baseball players aim to be just like Steph ... even on the field.
In Wednesday's Little League World Series matchup between the Caribbean and Latin America teams, Caribbean pitcher/infielder Jay-Dlynn Wiel hit a two-run triple and slid into third base safely. He then began to celebrate, and as he stood up to mimic something that resembled a basketball jump shot, Latin American third baseman Gabriel Gutiérrez applied the tag as Wiel's foot came off the bag mid-celebration.

ESPN's Tim Kurkjian jokingly blamed Warriors superstar Steph Curry for the unfortunate blunder.
"I blame Steph Curry; it's his fault," Kurkjian joked. "They're all trying to be him, even in the middle of a baseball game."

It's unclear if the young player actually was imitating Curry or just a generic basketball celebration, but Curry certainly would have been more careful with his celebration.
Fortunately for the young Little Leaguer, the Caribbean team held on to beat Latin America by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday.
