Steve Kerr believes the Warriors made a lot of strides this season and despite missing out on the playoffs Kerr views the season as a success.

When the Warriors open training camp next season, will the coaching staff look different than it did during the 2020-21 campaign?

The answer to that question is "yes."

"There are going to be some changes," Steve Kerr told The Athletic's Tim Kawakami this week on The TK Podcast. "I've talked to the staff about it. I've met with every guy.

"We're now in a position where we've been together for so long -- and we haven't had the type of internal change that we had when Luke Walton took the [Los Angeles] Lakers job and took a couple guys with him.

"A staff is no different from a roster where you get a little stale and you need some new blood, you need some new energy, you need to maybe move some things around [and] change roles.

"There's a lot that we're discussing, so there are gonna be some changes. I don't know exactly what they're gonna be yet. But I do feel like we're in a position now where we need a little energy shift within the organization ... we need a little jolt."

Kerr was asked specifically about assistant coach Ron Adams, but declined to offer any specifics.

"I'm not gonna go into any detail on this," Kerr said. "It's unfair to all the guys when I haven't made any decisions yet."
