Kerr to have ‘difficult conversations' when Warriors healthy

Steve Kerr has some difficult decisions to make for the Warriors soon.

While Kerr has officially ruled out centers James Wiseman and Kevon Looney for Friday and Saturday's games against the Orlando Magic and Charlotte Hornets, respectively, their return is imminent.

And when Wiseman and Looney come back -- which could be on Tuesday against the New York Knicks -- choices will need to be made.

"The biggest challenge is figuring out who I'm going to play," Kerr said in his pregame media availability Friday. "Everybody I've thrown out there has really earned the right to be on the floor. But I can't play 12 guys. It's just too many ... so that's the trickiest. We've had a lot of guys play well and we've got to figure out who's going to play."

When Wiseman and Looney get back, Kerr will have to first decide which of the two of them will start. Then, he's tasked with finding minutes for Juan Toscano-Anderson, Eric Paschall and Draymond Green at the center spot. He tipped his hand a little, saying he likes starting Looney because of the presence he brings on defense. If that's the case, they'll have to find a good chunk of time for Wiseman so he can keep developing.

"I'm going to have to have some difficult conversations with several guys," Kerr said. "But this is the NBA. Our guys who've been around for a while, like Loon, they understand how the league works. And the younger guys, if they haven't learned yet will learn that it's your job just to stay ready. If you can produce after a lengthy stay on the bench, you just made yourself incredibly valuable, because it's a difficult thing to do."
