Steph Curry silenced doubters across the NBA universe with his 62-point explosion in an early January win over the Portland Trail Blazers. The two-time NBA MVP now has gone for 30 or more points in five of the Warriors' nine games, and his 30.6 points per game are second in the league behind Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards.
After Friday night's win over the Los Angeles Clippers, fellow Warriors starter Andrew Wiggins explained why he has been so impressed by Curry's ability to score this season.
"It's amazing, it's mind-blowing," Wiggins told reporters. "The kind of shots that he can make, and the time he can make it. A lot of stuff he can do, he can score with the basketball, but he's just as deadly off-ball.

Curry scored 24 of his 38 points in the second half of Friday's win, leading a 22-point rally to beat a Clippers team many expect to finish near the top of the Western Conference. Anytime Curry is rolling, things get a lot simpler for his teammates, according to Wiggins.

"It makes life easier, because it opens up the floor for everybody," Wiggins said. "All the focus is on him, and he's coming down, he's making shots that you'd be like 'woah,' it's not a lot of shots he can't make. As soon as he steps over half, he's a threat.
"So. he causes a lot of attention."

Wiggins got just one game on the court with Curry before the NBA's 2019-20 season was suspended in March, so these first games are the former No. 1 overall pick's first real chances to develop some chemistry with Steph.
Curry likely was very pleased with Wiggins' defense over the past few games, as his coverage of Kawhi Leonard demonstrated what his primary value will be with the Warriors this season.
Wiggins isn't the first player to be amazed by Steph's brilliance, and he almost certainly won't be the last.
